Tapos after two months, biglang nag-iiba yung expectations nila? "Di ba kasama yan sa package mo?" "Akala ko unlimited revisions?"
Sounds familiar?
Pero here's the truth:
- Nagiging unclear yung scope.
1. Scope of Work (Ano Ang Gagawin Mo)
Ito ang pinaka-importante. Be specific. Wag lang "social media management" — i-breakdown mo:
- Ilan ang posts per week/month?
- Anong platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok)?
2. Deliverables at Timeline
Halimbawa:
- Content calendar every 25th of the month
- Client approval within 3 business days
- Final posting schedule starts every 1st
3. Revision Limits
Ito ang madalas na source ng burnout. Mag-set ka ng limit:
- 2 rounds of revisions per post
- Additional revisions: charged at a per-revision rate
4. Payment Terms
Dito madalas mag-away, so i-spell out mo:
- Rate (monthly retainer o per-post)
- Payment schedule (every 1st and 15th? Before start of month?)
- Accepted payment methods (GCash, bank transfer, PayMaya)
- Late payment penalty (e.g., 5% per week of delay)
- Required deposit before starting (50% upfront recommended)
5. Contract Duration at Cancellation
- Minimum contract period (e.g., 3 months)
- Notice period for cancellation (e.g., 30 days written notice)
- What happens to unused work if they cancel early
6. Content Ownership
Sino ang may-ari ng content after posting?
- Typically, once paid in full, content ownership transfers to the client
- Pero pwede mong i-retain yung right to use it sa portfolio mo
- Templates and strategies you developed — sa'yo pa rin yan
7. Confidentiality

Trust is good, pero contract protects both sides. Kung ayaw nila, it means ayaw nila ma-hold accountable.
- "Mag-start ka muna, contract later." Later never comes. No contract, no work.
I-explain mo na it protects them too.
- "Yung iba wala namang contract." Wag mong gayahin.
Kung ayaw talaga nila ng contract, that's your answer. Walk away.

- Keep it simple. Hindi kailangan legal jargon. Plain language, basta clear.
- Palaging may copy ka. Save a PDF, screenshot, or email thread.
- Update regularly.
- Have a rate card ready. Check out our guide on paano mag-set ng rates.
- Use tools to track everything. Clients, payments, deliverables — lahat dapat organized.
Protect Yourself, Protect Your Business
